The Research Associate is primarily responsible for the production and quality control (QC) of all kit components used in the SureFire and ELISA cell-based immunoassay kits at TGR BioSciences (an Abcam company) in accordance with GLP.
This position reports to the Quality Manager and is part of the In-House-Manufacturing (IHM) Team at TGR BioSciences located in Adelaide, South Australia and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
* Prepare and QC kit components used in the SureFire and ELISA immunoassay kits; including but not limited to reagent preparations, antibody conjugations and immunoassay analytical techniques.
* Culture a broad range of mammalian cell lines to prepare control lysates for use in kits.
* Assist with updating of procedures (Microsoft Excel and Word-based) and training of new staff.
The essential requirements of the job include:
* A Bachelor of Science or Biotechnology with Honours.
* A person who is willing to work in a team environment and can work to time pressures to ensure shipping deadlines and on-time delivery demands are met.
* A person who has a high level of attention to detail and sound analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure kit quality is maintained and in line with customer expectations.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Job may require some manual handling.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
* A biological laboratory with experience in cell culture, protein chemistry and immunoassay analytical techniques.
* Microsoft Excel
