The role is team focused and outcome driven, with a range of responsibilities regarding Gallagher's cloud work.
Supporting the Cloud Security Manager, this role will be Australian based and will primarily provide Application and Cloud security engineering.Be a subject matter expert for AWS security in APAC regionDesign and implement AWS security controls and services to meet organizational and regulatory requirementsConfigure and manage AWS services like IAM, VPC, Security Groups, KMS, WAF, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and AWS Config.Design and implement 3rd party firewall virtual applianceCollaborate with the cloud engineering team to review proposed AWS architecture, ensuring security is applied at all layersReview and provide feedback on infrastructure code (Terraform) to ensure security standards are metWrite and configure security policies and controls directly in codeConduct security assessments of AWS resources and configurationsEnsure compliance with internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standardsAssist in incident response and remediation for cloud security issuesCreate and maintain documentation for security controls, processes, and policiesAbout youWe are interested in hearing from people who have:Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Cloud Computing or other relevant fieldsHold, or have the ability to secure an Australia Federal Security ClearanceDemonstrated experience in AWS Cloud securityKnowledge of container security in AWS (e.g., EKS, ECS, Fargate)Proven experience in large-scale migration projects to AWSIn-depth knowledge of AWS security services and architecture best practicesHands-on experience with configuring and managing AWS security tools (e.g., IAM, KMS, AWS Config, CloudTrail)Strong understanding of IaC tools such as Terraform.Proficiency in securing CI/CD pipelines and integrating security tools into DevOps workflowsExperience in reviewing, writing, and securing infrastructure codeFamiliarity with CIS AWS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001, and AWS Well-Architected FrameworkWorking with us:GB values its employees and offers a friendly, comfortable working environment that facilitates a Work and Life Balance!
