Job Description
Analyse and gather business requirements to develop effective solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals.
Document and communicate technical and functional specifications.
Conduct workshops and meetings to identify business needs.
Support project delivery by liaising with cross-functional teams.
Identify risks and opportunities in business processes and recommend improvements.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimise technology solutions.
Ensure compliance with organisational standards and policies.
A Successful Senior Business Analyst Should Have
Proven experience in business analysis within the public sector or technology space.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address business needs.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
Experience documenting technical and functional specifications.
Experience in stakeholder management supporting internal customers within an organisation and/or customers external to the organisation.
Experience working in regulatory environments coupled with ensuring adherence to regulations within financial services – including banking, superannuation and insurance.
Experience participating and leading system/process/requirement walkthroughs, both in person and in Teams (or equivalent).
End-to-end project experience including documenting requirements and processes (incl. process mapping), UAT scripting and testing, change management support and implementation.
Track record of successful delivery in the project environment.
Experience essential in regulatory reporting.
Experience with a government agency will be highly regarded.
Analytical, investigative, and research skills, including both data analysis and presentation.
