Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Control Systems Technician to support and maintain Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems across critical infrastructure. This role involves working with transport control systems, plant automation, and building management systems (BMS), along with creating high-quality technical documentation and assisting in system development and migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Operational Technology systems (SCADA, PLCs, RTUs, plant automation, BMS).
* Provide technical support for IT systems, including Windows environments and networked infrastructure.
* Develop an Operating Manual (with SME input) and other documentation (SOPs, As-Constructed, User Guides).
* Lead software change updates via regular stand-ups with the Control Systems Team.
* Assist in software migration and development post-SME retirement until deployment completion.
* Participate in system upgrades, testing, and commissioning .
* Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and operational standards.
* Liaise with engineering teams, project managers, and vendors to resolve technical issues.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience supporting Operational Technology systems, such as transport systems, industrial automation, or BMS
* Strong background in technical writing and document creation for engineering or IT/OT systems
* Hands-on experience supporting Windows operating systems and associated infrastructure
* Excellent communication skills and experience leading or facilitating team meetings
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
* Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
