Quality Controller
Full Time | Kyvalley Dairy Group | Reporting to the Quality Manager

About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Controller is responsible for supporting daily quality, food safety and compliance activities across the site. You will be a key contact for raw material and customer complaints, supplier compliance, specifications, MSDS upkeep and Food Safety Plan programs.
In this hands‐on role, you will:
Raw Materials & Complaints
* Act as the first point of contact for investigating raw material complaints.
* Log complaints with the customer and follow through to completion.
* Prepare monthly raw material complaint reports.
Specifications Management
* Draft raw material and product specifications as directed by the Quality Manager.
* Ensure all documentation is current, accurate and aligned with company requirements.
Food Safety & Prerequisite Programs
* Abide by all Quality & Food Safety policies and procedures.
* Audit and monitor Food Safety Manual prerequisite programs.
* Complete annual inspections of:
o Master file
o Chemical storage areas
MSDS & Chemical Management
* Maintain current MSDS documentation across the site.
* Conduct chemical inventory checks against the MSDS master file.
* Raise non‐conformances when discrepancies arise.
Approved Supplier Program
* Ensure supplier documentation is complete and up to date.
* Manage New Supplier Proposal Assessment forms and supplier questionnaires.
* Update the Approved Supplier List annually.
Reporting
Prepare and submit the following:
* Customer complaint summary – Monthly
* Raw material complaints – Monthly
* Corrective action summary – Monthly
* Approved supplier report – Yearly
* Prerequisite Program findings – Yearly
Customer Complaints
* Investigate customer quality complaints promptly and accurately.
* Recommend corrective actions and provide findings to the Quality Manager.
Teamwork & Other Duties
* Assist with other tasks as required.
* Contribute to a positive, friendly, safe and collaborative workplace.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident in communication and reporting
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a supportive team
* Passionate about quality, food safety and continuous improvement
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Food Science (or related field)
* 2–3 years' experience in food manufacturing
* Strong understanding of quality systems, specifications, MSDS, and food safety programs
