Overview
Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. We are looking for a Project Geologist to join our Technical Services team in the Southern Goldfields on a permanent 8‐day on / 6‐day off roster. The role involves building the resource base for underground mining operations and contributing to grade control modelling and resource development.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and oversee underground drilling activities.
* Design and implement drilling programmes and maintain schedules.
* Generate grade control block models and update geological wireframes.
* Monitor sampling, QA/QC, and ensure compliance with company standards.
* Collaborate with Tech Services and Mine Services teams to deliver high‐quality geological data for mine planning.
Qualifications & Requirements
* BSc in Geology.
* Minimum two years proven experience in a Project Geologist role, ideally in gold‐focused projects.
* Strong understanding of underground mining geology and grade control practices.
* Proficiency in 3D modelling software (Leapfrog, Surpac).
* Excellent attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and drive a strong safety culture.
* Current WA Class "C" Driver's Licence.
* National Police Clearance (within 12 months).
