Fender Music Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join the team based in our warehouse at Erskine Park.

In this position you will be responsible for assuring the quality of material being delivered to the warehouse or production through appropriate incoming inspection and driving/supporting supplier quality efforts.

Role Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

· Perform incoming inspection on Guitar and Amplifier components and other parts for

conformance to procedures and specifications using the company’s quality criteria and standard

· Document all inspection results, summarize results.

· Perform First Article inspections of various parts as required and create the appropriate documentation with results

· Rectify minor product defects including adjustment to guitar neck and frets and polish out instrument scratches

· Work with RF scanner and SAP computer system.

· Scan, pick, and ship finished products with all proper accompanying collaterals, markings, in proper packaging to proper destination. This includes all ERP/SAP transactions.

· Direct flow/activities of supporting teammates as needed and direct ship finished or replacement products globally, as needed.

· Help with Dealer/Special Events teams as needed (loading/unloading at appropriate destination with set up).

· Track associated inventory, while collaboratively working Marketing for appropriate shipping/placement/next steps of new products.

· Work back with Service Returns to properly ship/distribute replacement products/parts; help with cycle counts as applicable.

· Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on boxes.

· Read work orders and follow oral instructions to ascertain materials to be pulled or stocked or shipped.

· Load and unload materials (typically packing materials) onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

· Load/unload trucks if needed (with use of equipment and/or manually).

· Convey materials from storage to designated loading/stocking area manually or using warehouse equipment; for example, electric pallet jack, turret truck, and sit-down/stand-up Forklift.

· Pack materials, count and pull parts from stock as needed for shipping.

· Stock incoming product for shipping.

· Deliver parts to department as required for shipping.

· Other duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role

· 3-5 year’s receiving inspection experience with background in either woodworking, sheet metal

fabrication or electronic manufacturing

· Musical Instrument / guitar playing experience

· Knowledge of guitars

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Demonstrated problem solving ability

· Confidently work unsupervised

· Excellent communications skills and workflow management

Business Knowledge, Skill Requirements, and Desired Attributes:

· Required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear

· The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 23 Kg

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision

· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job

· Experience with operating warehouse equipment such as Electric Pallet Jack, Sit-down/Stand-up Forklift.

· Ability to set up/tear down product for display a plus.
