CBRE is seeking a proactive, solutions-focused Assistant Facilities Manager to support a retail portfolio in Melbourne. This hands-on role is ideal for someone looking to step up in their FM career, with the guidance of experienced Facilities Managers and access to industry-leading training.
You'll gain exposure to all facets of retail facilities management including operations, tenant relationships, maintenance, safety, compliance and contractor coordination.
What You'll Be Doing
* Coordinating day-to-day operations across a portfolio of retail assets
* Working closely with Facilities Managers, contractors and client stakeholders to maintain safety, compliance and presentation standards
* Assisting with reporting, contractor performance and asset improvements
* Providing leave coverage and supporting project works across the portfolio
* Offering on-the-ground support to the FM team during peak retail periods
What You'll Bring
* Experience in facilities or property management, retail asset exposure or a relevant trade/technical background
* A basic understanding of building services and compliance requirements
* Strong organisational skills with a customer-first mindset
* A practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving
* Retail or contractor management experience is highly regarded
