Aspley Special School is part of the Metropolitan North region of the Queensland Department of Education (DoE), serving a broad student catchment area that stretches from the inner city to Eatons Hill, Sandgate, and Bracken Ridge.
We pride ourselves on offering tailored educational programs for secondary-aged students with disabilities. Our approach is centred on individualised learning plans, ensuring that every student, no matter their ability, thrives and achieves success.

Aspley Special School is a Year 7 to 12 school with two sub-schools - Junior and Senior.
Your Responsibilities
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
* Lead the relevant curriculum areas or whole school program to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
* Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
* Set high standards for student and staff performance.
* Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
* Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
* Be futures oriented and strategic.
Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students and staff within the school department.
Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the curriculum areas or whole school program
to achieve goals.
