Overview
Senior Career Educator to join the Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division. The Senior Career Educator will partner with a nominated Faculty and will work collaboratively with the Senior Language and Learning Educator and Senior STEM Educator to develop and implement a faculty aligned student success strategy that addresses all aspects of student success. The position provides supervision, coaching and direction to a team of Educators and may provide supervision of casual Student Partners. In addition to the strategic leadership responsibilities, the Senior Career Educator will provide timely, targeted and inclusive front line career development and employability services and strategies. These services and strategies are designed to support the career readiness, professional identity development, connectedness and innovative and enterprising mindsets of all students, such that they become independent, self-determined learners.

Remuneration and Location
* Remuneration: $138,193 to $156,633 pa (HEW8) (inclusive of $116,774 to $132,357 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
* Location: Gardens Point (hybrid option available)
* Ongoing, full-time basis

What You Need To Succeed
* Education, training and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a field related to career development practice with extensive experience demonstrably consistent with the competencies set down in the Professional Standards for Australian Career Development Practitioners.
* Demonstrated capacity to lead staff in a challenging environment and to respond flexibly to rapidly changing educational situations.
* Demonstrated professional leadership in using innovative pedagogical theory and practice and emerging technologies from a whole of course, scaffolded perspective in the design, delivery and evaluation of inclusive career development and employability strategies and services.
* Demonstrated understanding of the issues which affect adult career development, retention and success in higher education, as well as a commitment to working from a social justice framework.
* Demonstrated ability to foster mutually beneficial, inclusive and innovative partnerships to support student success, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the institution.
* Demonstrated ability to realise value to students and stakeholders through strategic critical insights, analysis and design of innovative solutions.
* Highly effective written, verbal and digital communication skills.
