The Opportunity:
MacKellar is seeking an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join our team on a new project near Nyngan, NSW. This is a DIDO role on a 14/7 rotating day/night roster, with accommodation and meals provided while on site.
This permanent position offers the opportunity to take a hands-on leadership role, supporting the maintenance and reliability of a fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment within a safety-driven site environment.

Your Role:
As Maintenance Leading Hand, you will provide day-to-day leadership while remaining actively involved in maintenance activities across site. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and supporting maintenance activities across the fleet
* Carrying out planned, unplanned and corrective maintenance tasks
* Ensuring maintenance work is completed safely and meets time and cost targets
* Inspecting equipment, identifying defects and raising work orders as required
* Promoting and reinforcing a proactive safety culture within the crew
* Maintaining clear communication and accurate documentation across maintenance and operational teams
What You'll Bring:
* Trade qualification with post-trade experience
(Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic)
* Demonstrated experience as a Leading Hand or in a step-up / acting leadership role
* A current Driver's Licence
* Experience working on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment
* Working knowledge of SIS and ET systems
* Strong leadership, communication skills and a safety-focused mindset
