For over 20 years Bannister Downs has been delivering award winning fresh milk throughout Perth and surrounding areas, from our Distribution Centre based in Bibra Lake.
Customer care and providing great support to our delivery team is very important to us and we are looking for a new team member to manage our Distribution team in Perth and Donnybrook, reporting to the COO. The position is permanent part time.

About the role
* The Logistics Manager has responsibility for the delivery team, stock management and planning & executing delivery activities across distribution locations. Priorities include delivering Bannister Downs dairy products in a safe, friendly and accurate manner.
* Capable of maintaining strong relationships with the Admin team based in Northcliffe, ultimately achieving excellence in customer service, whilst optimising stock management.
* Assist drivers with queries during delivery times and be onsite in Bibra Lake 9-3pm, Monday to Friday; some flexibility for regular set hours is possible.
* Be very details focused, reliable and honest. Take care of the logistics team, equipment and facilities, with a safety mindset at all times. Able to work in a small team in a respectful and positive manner to contribute to a rewarding team culture and provide essential leadership.
* Strong communication skills are critical, both within the Bibra Lake team and with the admin team based in Northcliffe, suppliers and freight company contacts.
* Previous logistics management experience is essential; HR skills are desirable.

Skills and experience
* Essential Skills include - previous experience with logistics and stock management in similar work environment; ability to manage and coordinate daily logistics operations: ensure timely, accurate delivery of products to customers.
* Stock Management: monitor stock levels, coordinate stock rotation and ensure stock takes are provided for Production management. Actively co-ordinate stock levels with Production to optimise date code and ensure there is adequate supply to meet customer orders.
* Experience with Fleet & Equipment Management: ensure refrigerated vehicles, storage areas and handling equipment are maintained, clean and operating effectively to support dairy product safety and quality.
* Knowledge of Cold Chain integrity: ensure all fresh dairy products are stored, handled and transported within required temperature ranges, monitor refrigeration performance.
* Ability to optimize delivery routes: regularly use logistics software to plan and improve delivery routes for efficiency (by day and by Run).
* Ability to manage team members: manage work schedules, including unforeseen leave and planned leave and support a healthy workplace culture.
* Ability to manage real-time deliveries: update manifests as and when required based on administration and customer interactions.
* Ability to monitor and manage costs: Track expenses and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
* Accuracy is critical for success in this role.

* LR Licence
* Experience with FMCG and ideally chilled logistics and stock management
* Knowledge of general vehicle and equipment maintenance
