About the Role:

The Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS) Speciality Services Allied Health Team have an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to kickstart their career as a Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Counsellor.
You will be working within a multidisciplinary team, and be working collaboratively with individuals who are accessing treatment through ADS Speciality Services. This involves providing clinical screening, assessment and identification of psychosocial needs, psychoeducation, therapeutic counselling, group-based interventions, advocacy and facilitation of onwards referrals where required. Within this role, you will be responsible for providing these interventions to patients who are receiving inpatient and outpatient care.
Within this role, you will regularly liaise and work collaboratively with other teams within Mental Health, Justice Health and Alcohol & Drug Services (MHJHADS) program areas, government and non-government services in the alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) and other mental health sectors and other external stakeholders.
As an ADS team member, you will be supported to undertake professional development, engage in clinical supervision, participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives and contribute to multidisciplinary team processes.
