Salary: $80,000 + superannuation

About the Role

Les Deux Coqs is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef with a strong French pastry background to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.

This hands-on role is focused on traditional French pastry and viennoiserie production, requiring solid technical skills in laminated doughs, baking and finishing, with a high level of attention to quality, consistency and presentation.

This position requires early morning starts to accommodate pastry production schedules.

About the Business

Les Deux Coqs is an artisan French charcuterie and specialty food business based in Adelaide. We produce high-quality handmade products using traditional French techniques and premium ingredients for retail and wholesale customers.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparation and production of traditional French pastries and viennoiseries

* Dough mixing, lamination, shaping, baking and finishing

* Maintaining consistent quality, flavour and presentation standards

* Development and refinement of pastry and viennoiserie offerings

* Stock control, ordering and waste minimisation

* Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

* Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient production kitchen

* Working independently and collaboratively within a small team

* Supervising up to 2 commis

Skills and Experience

* Relevant pastry qualification and/or minimum 2 years' experience as a Pastry Chef

* Demonstrated experience in French-style pastry and viennoiserie

* Strong technical skills in laminated doughs and pastry production

* Experience in a professional production kitchen environment

* Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

* Reliable, organised and detail-oriented

* Supervision and Leadership skills
