**THE WHO, THE WHAT AND THE WHERE**
Our client is a well-established business in the commercial and industrial telecommunications space, they service major mining, industrial, government, transport, and security industries throughout Australia and the Pacific. Their Adelaide branch is rapidly expanding, and we need your expertise and specialised tech skills to take the team to the next level.
**WHAT'S INVOLVED?**
Based out of the Adelaide branch, this is a varied Tech role both within the local workshop, in and around Adelaide, and also project work at client mine sites. This is a varied role which encompasses the whole gamut of radio communications, from site surveying through to installation and configuration, maintenance and servicing, troubleshooting and repairs, and programming; on both analogue and digital platforms. More specifically, you will look after:
- Strong technical knowledge of the following radio and telecommunications equipment:
- P25, TETRA, and DMR radio equipment
- Radio Spectrum
- Network based radio systems
- All project works and maintenance for radio networks, CCTV, PAGA, telephony and IP networks
- Access Control installation and maintenance
- AVL - Automatic Vehicle Location systems
**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?**
Whilst you will spend a lot of time indoors, you also can't be afraid to get your hands dirty; you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repairs, testing, installations, and commissioning of a range of equipment. You should be experienced in the full lifecycle of on-site radio telecommunications; from survey and design through to installation and commissioning, through to maintenance, repairs and decommissioning; and you must be able to articulate your recommendations and needs to OEMs and technical teams in a clear and well thought-out manner. You will also need:
- 3-5 years of experience in industrial telecommunications
- Certificate III or higher in electronics engineering, RF engineering or related fields of study
- A thirst for knowledge; we want someone who is keen to do more study and continuously improve upon skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of a broad range of radio-equipment brands and the ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair them, particularly Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) equipment systems, P25 and DMR
- Technical knowledge of RF systems including Microwave systems (including PTP and PTMP)
- Understanding of or (ideally) experience working in IP network environments
- Previous experience installing CCTV and MATV systems would be an added bonus
- Tower/Working at heights experience and qualifications will be highly regarded
