Your Opportunity:
* The Senior Media Officer position sits within the Communications and Engagement Team and leads the media, PR and issues management for Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS).
* The Senior Media Officer provides advice and support to the Director Communications and Engagement, WBHHS Executive and WBHH Board on strategic communications activities.
* The position is responsible for maintaining and implementing a multimedia content strategy to effectively support the delivery of the WBHHS Strategic Plan.
What we're looking for:
* Demonstrated experience managing proactive and responsive media opportunities within deadlines.
* Persuasive and accurate writing, research and editing skills.
* Demonstrated ability to establish a strong network of professional relationships across teams and sectors.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex, competing priorities and demonstrate sound, ethical judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Whilst not mandatory, a tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience in in journalism, media, PR or similar would be well regarded.
* Multimedia skills such as photography, video production and graphic design will be well regarded.
* Experience in health, government or not for profit sectors will be well regarded.
* This position requires the incumbent to occasionally travel to other facilities within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $148,322 p.a., comprising salary between $121,360 - $129,998 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO6) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f.)
