At Multicultural Families Organisation, we deliver critical safety, advocacy, and support for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women experiencing domestic and family violence (DFV).
About the Role
Provide case management, crisis support, and advocacy to women impacted by DFV using a trauma-informed approach. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning that promote ongoing safety of women and children.
* Deliver crisis intervention services and ongoing case management to women impacted by DFV.
* Offer advocacy, information, and referrals across legal, housing, health and community services.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Provide support to victims of domestic and family violence using a trauma-informed approach.
Risk Assessments: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning that promote ongoing safety of women and children.
Advocacy: Offer advocacy, information, and referrals across legal, housing, health and community services.
Requirements
You will need:
* A degree or diploma in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
* Experience in crisis support, risk assessment, and safety planning.
* Knowledge of domestic and family violence theories and practices, including trauma-informed approaches.
* Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
* Understanding of DFV dynamics and the needs of CALD, migrant, and refugee communities.
* A current Driver's Licence, Blue Card, and National Police Check.
