Food Preparation Expert Wanted
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in preparing, cooking and presenting quality food for lunch and dinner in a waterfront restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a hands-on chef role, be motivated to advance to senior chef and be able to work flexible shifts.
Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including proficient spoken English, while maintaining an energetic and positive attitude and consistently delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items during service hours, ensuring the quality of dishes throughout each phase of preparation and presentation.
* Lead by example and provide constructive feedback to staff and management to maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and customer service.
* Coordinate with front-of-house staff for efficient service, motivating teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
* Maintain the kitchen and equipment clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety protocols.
* Develop and implement menu designs that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
Requirements
* Minimum five years' experience as a chef in a commercial kitchen setting.
* Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or higher, demonstrating expertise in fast line cooking and presentation techniques.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
