Randstad have partnered with a growing, up and coming Commercial builder specialising in Institutional & Commercial projects ranging from $500k to $12m across Victoria.

This builder is relationship driven, with a focus on professionalism and creating a high performing team environment.

Our client is working across a number of sectors such as Sporting, Local Government, Tertiary and Education, Health care and more!

The Job

As the Project Manager, you will be required to manage multiple Commercial builds across Melbourne including a $6m New Build Sporting Pavilion, Sports Ground and a Tertiary fit out.

You will mentor, up skill and develop a Contract Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

* Project Planning & Pre-Construction:
o Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
o Develop and manage the master project schedule and budget.
o Oversee the bidding process and manage contract negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
o Secure necessary permits, resources, and materials for project commencement.
* Project Execution:
o Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
o Coordinate and manage all subcontractors and field personnel.
o Proactively identify and resolve technical, operational, and site-specific issues to prevent delays.
o Implement and enforce a comprehensive safety plan, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings.
* Financial & Administrative Management:
o Continuously monitor project costs and expenditures against the approved budget.
o Process and approve all project-related invoices and payments.
o Document, price, and negotiate change orders with clients and subcontractors.
o Maintain organised and accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and daily logs.
* Communication & Leadership:
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
o Provide clear and consistent leadership to the project team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
o Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders, outlining project status, budget, and any potential risks.
Key Requirements

* Demonstrative experience as a Project manager in Commercial Construction in Australia.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
* A strong, friendly attitude to the construction industry
* Excellent administrative, communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
