More Than a Store – A Home for the Agricultural Community
Farmers Warehouse is a locally owned and operated rural merchandise store in the Hunter Valley. Since 2008, we've been the trusted partner for farmers and hobbyists alike — supplying quality products, reliable service, and expert advice. With stores in Singleton and Dungog plus a thriving online store, we're proud to support the growth and success of our community.
A Sales Role That's More Than Just Sales
We're seeking a full-time Salesperson in Singleton (Monday–Friday, with rotating Saturday shifts). Starting as a casual during your 3-month probation, you'll progress into a full-time role where your efforts directly support the agricultural community.
This is your chance to do more than just sell — you'll become a trusted partner to our customers, helping them find what they need to succeed.
Helping Customers, Handling Stock, Growing Connections
In this role, you will:
* Provide outstanding sales and customer service to local agricultural clients
* Load and handle customer orders (up to 25kg)
* Maintain accurate stock levels and visually appealing displays
* Work alongside a supportive team to meet store goals
* Assist with daily operations, including Saturday rotations
* Use basic computer systems to support sales and stock management
* Contribute to a safe, positive, and community-focused environment
The Skills and Spirit We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
A passion for agriculture, animal handling, or veterinary science
* Strong sales and customer service skills
* A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Bonus points for:
* A forklift licence
* Experience in manual handling and stock management
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude
Most importantly, you'll be a team player who cares about providing exceptional service and supporting the farming community.
A Supportive Culture Where Everyone Pitches In
At Farmers Warehouse, what sets us apart isn't just our products — it's our people. We're down-to-earth, genuine, and always ready to roll up our sleeves.
When things get busy or challenges come up, it doesn't matter what your job title is — everyone jumps in to help. Even the CEO will get on the phone, meet customers outside, or lend a hand with accounting.
That's just how we work. We value hard work, humility, and the simple act of helping — whether it's a customer who needs advice, or a teammate who needs support. If you share those values, you'll feel right at home here.
Rewards That Recognise Your Efforts
* $32.50 per hour plus superannuation to start as a casual
* A pay increase once you move into full-time employment
* Employee discounts on a wide range of rural products
* End-of-year bonus for high-performing staff
* A stable, supportive team environment with many long-term employees
