The Role of Associate Director
This role predominantly focuses on businesses that are enabling industries and growing rapidly. It involves activities such as supporting strategic planning, client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, origination and structuring of new transactions, and maintaining a sustainable risk position within Regional, Agribusiness, and Specialist Sectors.
This is a full life cycle business development role responsible for customer value propositions. You will collaborate with product specialists, Deal Structuring & Execution Team, Corporate and Business Banking, among others.
Key Responsibilities
1. Formulate, propose, gain agreement to, and implement annual business plans to meet income targets.
2. Implement local sales and income campaigns to increase market share and revenue.
3. Develop and manage referral partnerships.
4. Conduct structured sales calls and document outcomes using CRM (Salesforce).
5. Monitor sales pipeline and take corrective actions as needed.
6. Coordinate with colleagues across segments to leverage experience.
7. Manage internal relationships to deliver high-quality service to Business Banking segments.
8. Support product, pricing, policy, and process communications and handle related queries.
9. Manage customer satisfaction and retention, addressing complaints promptly.
10. Assess and improve service quality for Business Bank customers.
What You Will Bring
1. Experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or operations growth within banking or financial institutions.
2. Proven sales and growth track record.
3. Understanding of business practices, lending, credit assessment, and control.
4. Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
5. Effectiveness in dynamic, complex environments under pressure.
6. Experience in regulated environments with a focus on continuous improvement and autonomy.
7. Strong commitment to risk culture, conduct, and compliance.
8. Business degree or professional qualification preferred.
