Job Description:
The Contracts Administrator will play a pivotal role in managing commercial activities efficiently, minimizing contractual issues and disputes.
This is a full-time site-based position located in Newcastle, NSW.
* Conduct initial discussions/negotiations with subcontractors to clarify subcontract terms and conditions.
* Manage the review process to ensure timely and budgeted award of subcontractors.
* Maintain project procurement schedule and subcontract register.
* Maintain accurate cost records and report any cost issues to project management.
* Assess commercial and contractual risks and recommend controls.
* Check compliance and prepare reporting on subcontract performance.
* Ensure accurate valuation and assessment of progress claims.
* Operate and maintain commercial and subcontract systems.
* CA/CPA certification.
* Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator within the engineering and construction industry.
* Experience with a variety of project values and complexities including subcontractor negotiations.
* Skills to interpret and apply relevant legislation/code on the project to prevent potential business exposure.
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and exposure to a contract management system (CRM).
* Ability to work on-site in the south of Newcastle at Belmont.
