**The Opportunity**
Benetas The Views at Heidelberg is a warm and welcoming aged care residence that combines apartment style living with personalised care and home to 103 residents. Each resident has access to their own beautifully decorated private room with ensuite, along with an airy open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge.
**_ This opportunity is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday (07.30-15.30 or 08.00-16.00)._**
As our Maintenance Officer at Benetas you will be responsible for routine building and grounds maintenance, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a safe and attractive living environment to suit the needs of the residents
- Identify and prioritise resident needs to create a more home like environment
- Assist in the selection of trades people to undertake specific tasks
- Maintain a planned preventative program along with ensuring documentation requirements are met
- Attend to the maintenance of buildings, ground and utilities in line with the schedule
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a trade, domestic repair, general handyman, and electronic maintenance management system experience.
- Experience in identifying standards as they relate to the provision of building maintenance
- A genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors and hands-on who will enjoy chatting with residents
- A commitment to continuous improvement that enhances resident lives
- Certificate / experience in a relevant trade
**What we offer**:
- Permanent full-time position - Monday to Friday
- **$34.86/hour** + superannuation + not-for-profit salary packaging up to $18k per annum
- Heidelberg location with plenty of parking and beautiful residential aged care home
