We are partnering with the Lucas Group to appoint an experienced Pack Shed Manager to lead all post-harvest operations across its largest and most critical pack shed.
This is not a traditional site management role. It is a senior leadership position with a clear mandate to drive transformation, expansion and innovation, while delivering day-to-day operational excellence.
Reporting to EGM Commercial and Operations, the role combines strategic leadership with a visible operational presence, shaping how the business scales, modernises and performs over the next decade.

Your Impact
As Pack Shed Manager, you will have full accountability for post-harvest operations including receivals, grading, packing and dispatch, while leading a large, multi-layered workforce across seasonal and permanent teams.
You will play a central role in embedding systems, capability and culture that support sustainable growth — balancing immediate performance with long-term strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team
* Set and own post-harvest strategy, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives
* Drive productivity, throughput, quality and cost optimisation at scale
* Ensure compliance with Freshcare, HARPS and HACCP standards
* Lead short-, medium- and long-term labour planning and optimisation
* Champion WHS best practice and a proactive safety culture
* Oversee workflow design, scheduling and equipment performance
* Collaborate closely with farming, logistics, compliance and commercial teams
* Support pack shed expansion, redesign and innovation projects
* Contribute to succession planning and workforce capability development

What You'll Bring
* Proven senior leadership experience in high-volume pack shed or post-harvest operations
* Strong strategic planning capability with hands-on operational credibility
* Experience leading large, diverse and seasonal workforces
* Solid QA and food safety experience with audit confidence
* Strong WHS, risk management and compliance knowledge
* Commercial and systems literacy (ERP / WMS / production systems)
* Mechanical aptitude to support operational continuity
* Calm, decisive, solutions-focused leadership style
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, seasonal environments
(PALM experience highly regarded)
