Coordinator – First Peoples Unit * Salary: $79,122 - $96,073 (Plus Superannuation) * Ongoing role * Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) * Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) This is a prioritised position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with the Special Measures provision of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic). The Role This is a rewarding opportunity to support Creative Victoria's First Peoples policy and program deliverables and ongoing development of Creative Victoria's overall engagement with the Victorian First Peoples' creative sector. Main accountabilities: * Conducts projects of defined scope under direction * Exercises professional judgement about the application of rules, or the selection of choices within guidelines * Communicates professional/ technical concepts and advice * Researches issues and prepares draft reports and briefings within a project plan or policy framework set by others The Team The position of Coordinator – First Peoples Unit forms a part of the Office of the Chief Executive within Creative Victoria. Creative Victoria is the State Government body dedicated to supporting, championing and growing Victoria's creative industries - arts, culture, screen and design. The branch supports the Chief Executive in leading the Creative Victoria group to efficiently and effectively deliver on the priorities of the Department, Minister and the Victorian Government, including under the Creative Victoria Act 2017. About You The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Promote Inclusion: Recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion. Responds quickly to changes. * Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Resolves issues through deep understanding/interpretation of existing guidelines. Where guidelines aren't available, analyses ideas available and takes action.
