Eight Homes is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead our Geelong/West construction team.
Within this role your responsibilities would include:
Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 construction supervisors, fostering professional growth and high performance.
Monitor and update job status in real time, adjusting forecasts and site start schedules to optimize resource allocation.
Develop, track, and report on the regional monthly budget—including claims, settlements, and Extra to Order (ETOs)—working with supervisors to maximize build efficiency.
Ensure all warranty and progress claims are accurately documented and processed in a timely manner.
Build and maintain effective partnerships with suppliers and trade contractors, acting as the primary escalation point for performance, quality, or delivery issues.
Align trade and supplier allocations with project schedules, closely monitoring performance metrics to drive consistency in build quality and efficiency.
Liaise with supervisors to identify and resolve on-site issues swiftly, ensuring contractual obligations and building standards are upheld or surpassed.
Minimize ETS through proactive planning, cost-effective problem solving, and close coordination with design and procurement teams.
Review and resolve escalated client concerns quickly, maintaining a customer-first mindset and preserving brand reputation.
Analyze client feedback and Net Promoter Scores (NPS), partnering with managers and supervisors to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct final quality assurance inspections prior to client walkthroughs, ensuring every detail aligns with company standards.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess build feasibility, control costs, and recommend innovative solutions to construction challenges.
Who are we looking for
A passionate leader with proven construction management experience in residential or commercial construction, managing multi-site operations.
Strong financial acumen, with a track record of meeting or exceeding budget targets.
Safety First mindset.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with suppliers, trades, clients and internal teams.
Proficiency in construction forecasting, scheduling tools, and claims management.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a relentless focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
