Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of elite cricket performance, supporting some of WA's best male cricketers across WA Cricket and the Perth Scorchers BBL. You will play a critical role in preparing athletes to perform consistently at the highest level, from emerging pathway talent through to international players.

Working within an integrated High Performance environment, you will collaborate closely with coaching, medical and performance staff to deliver world class physical preparation. This role offers variety, challenge and impact, with responsibilities spanning training, competition, touring and long term athlete development.

Responsibilities

* Design and deliver individualised physical performance programs for WA Men's and Perth Scorchers BBL players using evidence based best practice.
* Contribute to developing and implementing physical performance frameworks across senior and BBL programs.
* Attend all WA Men's and BBL training sessions and matches, including home, away and touring commitments.
* Plan, monitor and adjust training and bowling workloads in collaboration with coaches and physiotherapists to optimise performance and minimise injury risk.
* Deliver high quality physical preparation across strength, conditioning, speed, recovery, injury prevention and rehabilitation.
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (Physiotherapists, Doctors, Dietitians, Psychologists and Coaches) to ensure aligned programming that optimises athlete performance.
* Apply performance technologies including GPS, force platforms, strength testing and movement profiling to support performance and reduce injury risk.
* Provide strategic oversight, leadership and mentoring across Academy and Pathway programs to ensure age‐appropriate alignment.
* Undertake Team Manager responsibilities while touring, including logistics, compliance, stakeholder liaison and match day support.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sport Science, Human Movement, Strength & Conditioning, or a related discipline
* Professional Registration with ESSA and ASCA
* Minimum 3 years' experience delivering strength and conditioning services within elite or high‐performance sporting environment
* Current First Aid/CPR accreditation
* Demonstrated success in designing and delivering evidence based physical performance programs that drive measurable improvements in athlete performance.
* Expertise in injury risk reduction, including screening, load management, and targeted physical preparation strategies.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary high performance team (e.g., physiotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, analysts, medical staff and coaches).
* Proven leadership capability, with the ability to foster a positive, professional, and high‐performance team environment.
* Strong planning and organisational skills, with a track record of executing programs and achieving performance outcomes.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to positively influence athletes, coaches, and multidisciplinary staff.
* Proficiency with athlete monitoring and performance technologies, including systems such as Catapult GPS, VALD force platforms, GymAware, and athlete management systems (AMS).
* Strong IT literacy and administrative capability, including data management, reporting, and digital workflow efficiency
