The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) provides essential corporate functions to the Northern Territory Government (NTG), efficiently and effectively enabling agencies to focus on their core business, Workforce Services is one of the key enterprise services provided by DCDD

Positioned within Workforce Services, the Workforce Business Partners team provides guidance to client agency managers on workforce matters, proactively influencing decision-making, organisational change and aligning workforce strategies and policies with the agency's strategic direction and government priorities.

Currently Workforce Services are recruiting a Director Workforce Business Partners (SAO2) and a Workforce Business Partner to support client agencies workforce services across the Territory. Applicants are invited to nominate their preferred position or be assessed for both positions, offers of employment will be made based on the applicant's experience and suitability to the role.

As Director Workforce Business Partner (SAO2), you provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of Workforce Business Partners as well as being a point of contact and strategic partner to a client agency connecting with Executives and Senior Managers. This involves providing high-level workforce advice, facilitating planning aligned with agency and government objectives, and building awareness of DCDD's Workforce Services.

As a Workforce Business Partner (SAO1), you are a point of contact and strategic partner to a portfolio of client agencies, connecting and facilitating outcomes in partnership with the relevant Workforce Services' centres of expertise. This involves supporting agency Executives and Senior Managers in their workforce management decisions, collaborating with centres of excellence, monitoring service expectations. In addition, you will participate in leadership groups, contribute to strategic discussions and deliver reporting that offers data driven insights and recommendations.

To be successful as a Workforce Business Partner you require demonstrated client-centric interpersonal and relationship management skills, the ability to influence HR practices and strategic directions, and assist clients navigate a dynamic environment. Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex and conflicting priorities is essential.

The role of Director requires similar skills and experience, but at a more complex level. Strong leadership with demonstrated ability to manage and guide a team of Workforce Business Partners, providing strategic direction, mentoring, performance management and professional development.
