Our client, a well-established
specialist paint supplier
, is seeking a
Retail Store Assistant
to join their Chermside retail trade center. This is a hands-on role combining customer service, paint tinting, and stock handling in a busy retail environment.
You will assist trade and retail customers, mix and customize paint tints, manage stock, and help maintain a safe and well-presented store.
Key Responsibilities
* Customer service and sales support
* Mixing and customizing paint tints (training provided)
* Color matching and product advice
* Receiving, unloading, and putting away deliveries using electric pallet lifters
* Manual handling of paint products
* Stock replenishment and general warehouse duties
* Operating computer-based cash registers and systems
* Maintaining cleanliness and safety within the store
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or trade store environments preferred
* Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
* Forklift license advantageous but not essential
