Our client is a leading Private Sector manufacturer; headquartered in Canberra with long ties to the Commonwealth. You will be part of something very special and work at the pointy end of technology.

**About the role and you**:
To be the People Relationship Manager you will be a skilled collaborator, responsible to build stakeholder relationships, provide strategic advice and help drive change through contemporary human resources policy and practices.

This role will predominantly partner with line managers to provide guidance and support on all aspects of People and Culture with a focus on Code of Conduct, HR policies, Performance Management, Professional Development including underperformance, Career Progression, Succession Planning, grievances, National Employment Standards, Rewards and Recognition, coordinating a HRIS system and data analysis to support the Head of HR for CEO and Board reporting.

You will be responsible for individuals within the team to work collaboratively and encouraged to achieve goals and objectives whilst meeting financial and budgeted targets and will be an integral member of the People and Culture Department, reporting directly to the Head of HR.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- AGSVA clearance level: Minimum NV1
- HR Generalist expertise with relevant qualifications
- Previous experience in code of conduct investigations and the establishment and coordination of performance management plans.
- A high level of analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes.
- Previous experience in risk management and a security environment.
- Management and Leadership experience essential. Experience in Pastoral Care and Ethical Practice: demonstrated high confidentiality and ability to build trust.

**Key Role Responsibilities**:
**Relationships** - Partnering with the business;
- Build an understanding of key relationships and stakeholder requirements.
- Establish and maintain a high level of trust with the stakeholders and employees.
- Coordinate strategic advice surrounding with business leaders.
- Manage a team of HR practitioners
- Oversee the development and implementation of a corporate training program both annual mandatory training and external PD
- Work with our international team to provide HR support.
- High understanding of security principles as it aligns with Defence Industry Security Program requirements centred on the employment of a security cleared personnel and security risk management.
- Work in partnership with the People Talent Acquisition Manager to develop and execute on strategies to promote company
- Coordinate relevant strategic advice with business leaders.
- Provide structure and guidance to empower individuals to grow and thrive in their roles.

**Business priorities** - Work closely with the Head of HR to:

- Provide timely day to day advice and support to managers and employees relating to:

- Conducting Inductions and on boarding activities.
- Coordinating employee contracts aligned to Awards, Fair Work and National Employment Standards requirements.
- Managing the annual performance management and review process.
- Understanding remuneration, entitlements and leave requirements.
- Workplace inquiries, conflict resolution and mediation.
- Participating in exit interviews with separating employees and providing analysis of the information.
- Supporting the development and design of statistical data to be reported to senior leadership and managers
- Assisting in the design and promulgation of monthly reporting activities.
- Identify a suitable succession planning program across the organisation.
- Assist in the professional development of employees. Inc. identifying appropriate learning and development initiatives and support
- Support the People and Culture Strategic change management project.
- Support in the scoping, design and implementation of a new HRIS and Performance Management Program.
- Knowledge of National Employment Standards and Fair Work Ombudsman's requirements.
- Coordinate the marketing and strategy strategic communications program to promote understanding and awareness of company strategic and business capabilities.

**Organisational Culture** - Encourage workplace values and behaviours to foster an engaged, inclusive and high performing workforce;
- Maintain and ensure contemporary HR policies.
- Mentor company principles, values and expected behaviours across the company.
- Understand and provide analytics to explain the organisation's diversity and inclusion culture and nominate gender targets.
- Manage complex employee grievances, conduct workplace investigations and enquiries for underperformance and breach of code of conduct.
