Our small, friendly team in Belmont would welcome someone who can help drive innovation within our varied bookkeeping client base. We provide great ongoing career opportunities and offer a flexible working environment. You can also benefit from being mentored by experienced accountants in all areas of bookkeeping and tax relating to your role.

The role could be flexible and may suit someone looking for fulltime or part time hours, we are open to discussions with the right candidate. In addition, we are happy to discuss time between the office and work from home. (Some work from the office is a requirement)

If you are someone that who wants to do more than just data entry, who wants an autonomous role where you can build relationships with business owners and make a real difference to how they run their business this could be the perfect next step for you. There may even be opportunities to value add for your clients through app advisory, process review and improvement and even data analysis for outsourced CFO work. The opportunities are endless

Job tasks and responsibilities

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Data entry and reconciliations

Preparation of statutory obligations such as IAS, BAS and STP Finalisation

Processing of payroll and superannuation

Provide recommendations on tailored software solutions for our clients

Assist our clients to improve their bookkeeping processes through process design and software set up and integration

Provide our clients with ongoing training and support

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

At least 2 years experience in a bookkeeping role is essential, preferably in an accounting firm

Extensive experience using bookkeeping software in particular Xero and MYOB

Have a passion and knowledge of leading software packages and integrations

Professional manner and good communication skills

Experience in working to deadlines and time management skills

Ability to apply a commercial approach to their work
