Applied Aviation Maintenance is a growing MRO supporting a wide range of fixed & rotary wing aircraft — from piston singles to twin turboprops, and from light turbine helicopters through medium twin VIP machines. We're looking for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and being part of a friendly, close‐knit team.
This role combines Tech Records Management, Maintenance Planning / CAMO support with backup Stores coverage, giving you variety and involvement with optics across the whole operation.
Role Overview
The Technical Records & Maintenance Planning Officer helps keep our aircraft documentation accurate, organised, and compliant with all CASA requirements. You'll work with our LAMEs, AMEs, & admin team to ensure maintenance records are complete and up to date across all aircraft types we support. You will drive efficiency with Workpack creation and maintenance planning whilst being guided and supported by the working, hands‐on directors of the company.
You'll also provide backup logistics support, assisting with receiving parts, checking traceability, and helping keep inventory organised when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Tech Records Management – Maintain logbooks, work packs, maintenance releases, component histories, and AD/SB compliance for both fixed‐wing and rotary aircraft.
* CAMO Support – Assist with tracking, forecasting, and updating maintenance program data across multiple aircraft types and models.
* Data Entry & Compliance – Enter maintenance information accurately and ensure documentation meets CASA and internal standards.
* Work Pack Control – Prepare, issue, and close work packs; verify certification statements and component traceability whilst adhering to our in‐house quality assurance standards.
* Audit Readiness – Keep records tidy, complete, and ready for customer or regulatory review.
* Backup Stores Support – Assist with receiving, inspecting, and issuing parts; maintain traceability; support inventory and shelf‐life control in accordance with internal procedures.
* Process Improvement – Suggest and support improvements to documentation and workflow systems.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in aviation tech records or maintenance administration within an MRO (preferred).
* Understanding of CASA regulations, maintenance releases, AD/SB compliance, and component traceability.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Familiarity with CAMM systems (Aerotrack (preferred), Av Plan, Ramco, or similar).
* Ability to read and interpret maintenance documents and technical data.
* Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Experience in aircraft stores or logistics is helpful but not essential.
* Clear communication and a team‐first attitude.
