Genotyping Australia, trading as XytoVet and Xytogen, is a leading provider of custom genetic testing services to a range of national and international clients. Our business and team is expanding and the principal responsibilities of this role will be providing client support to our XytoVet customers.
XytoVet provides DNA analysis services to the livestock industry across Australia and New Zealand. XytoVet's clients range from small hobby farms with a handful of sheep to some of Australia's largest corporate livestock farming enterprises. The role requires an interest in livestock production, and an understanding of agricultural terminology would be helpful.
Genotyping Australia operates from a well-equipped, NATA- accredited laboratory in Technology Park, Bentley. Our team of scientists and technical staff pride themselves in providing a fast, responsive and quality-assured service tailored to the needs of our varied clients. The key industry sectors we service include:
* Australia and New Zealand livestock industries - genetic screening in support of animal selective breeding programs and pathogen exclusion through our XytoVet business arm
* Environmental monitoring and Occupational Health - identification of specimens and their trace DNA in environmental samples through our Xytogen business arm
About the role:
The Client Liaison Officer role is accountable for receiving and lodging incoming samples, liaising with clients to ensure the accuracy of sample lodgement, answering and directing incoming telephone calls, responding to voicemail messages and reviewing and attending to emails and urgent requests in a timely and consistent manner. The role requires supporting the business ethos that all client interactions with Genotyping Australia are positive.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Receiving and lodging incoming samples using various software packages and management systems
* Communicating with clients with respect to their projects and assisting them in any troubleshooting and scheduling requirements
* Liaising with other service providers involved in the testing and analysis of samples
* Reception duties including answering and directing all incoming telephone calls to an appropriate member of staff
* Responding to voicemail messages and reviewing and attending to emails and urgent requests in a timely and consistent manner
* Communicating with the Sales team of any changes/updates to their customers
This position is being offered as a full-time fixed term appointment, with an immediate start.
