Responsibilities
* Inform the development of state‐wide policy frameworks and service plans for best practice in the assessment, management and treatment of offenders identified as high harm/complex needs.
* Oversee quality assurance, corporate governance and auditing activities to ensure SCS compliance with policy frameworks and legislation.
* Achieve organisational objectives within agreed timeframes.
* Prepare policy documents, submissions, briefs, memorandum and correspondence within set timeframes.
* Lead research, environmental scanning activities and undertake analysis of data and information.
* Ensure continued alignment with evidence‐based best practice and organisational priorities, proactively identify factors, trends and issues to management which may impact SCS service delivery and organisational outcomes.
* Represent SCS in a range of forums including intradepartmental, interdepartmental and community‐based meetings.
* Initiate, develop and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders that may have competing priorities while meeting SCS services objectives.
* Provide support and guidance to workload and practices of staff within the unit.
* Assist in establishing systems and processes for the proactive identification and prioritisation of state‐wide analysis of high harm, complex need offenders.
* Assist the Manager, Specialised Clinical Services with the unit's financial and human resources management.
