Work that matters
The School of Agriculture, Food & Wine is looking to build capacity in soil science research and teaching and is seeking to attract an outstanding applicant with soil science background who will maintain and further enhance innovative research and scholarly education capabilities.
Effectively develop and deliver high quality learning activities, including face to face and on-line course material, assess student learning in soil science and related areas at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The team
The School of Agriculture, Food & Wine is one of several schools in the College of Science, and represents a world-class concentration of scientific research, education and product conferring capability, with infrastructure and resources predominantly at the Waite Campus. The School is the centrepiece of the Southern Hemisphere's largest collection of expertise in plant genomics, crop improvement, sustainable agriculture, soil science, dryland farming, viticulture, and oenology.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
* Experience in teaching at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, with an ability to contribute to course development.
* Demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision to deliver excellent educational outcomes, including demonstrated capacity to relate to students from a variety of backgrounds.
* A track record relative to opportunity in soil science research or related field evidenced by papers in peer-reviewed journals, and trade journals, patents or equivalent.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate research results to diverse audiences including academic, industry and the broader community.
