Muswellbrook and District Workers Club is a multifaceted hospitality venue serving the local community with 12,000+ members. We are situated in the Upper Hunter region with an easy 2.5hr drive from Sydney. The club offers busy restaurant with 300 seats, functions, gaming, TAB, bars, accommodation, weekly entertainment and courtesy bus.
We are looking for a qualified Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen operation pushing out 3,500 covers per week. We have a full-time team of 9 in the kitchen currently. This is a hands on role that requires dedicated and committed people that have a passion for hospitality and quality outcomes.
This is a great opportunity to join a fun and enthusiastic team of 70 staff to contribute and enhance the successful operation.
Strong knowledge and understanding of all elements within the kitchen from food preparation and presentation to various cooking techniques, food safety & hygiene, and solid communication are essential.
Culinary skills and experience we are looking for:
- Formal culinary education > Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery
- Suitable experience in a similar type of hospitality business
- Well organised with a proactive and enthusiastic approach
- Good communication skills with the whole team
- Ability to keep calm and maintain strong relationships with the whole team
- Attention to detail
- Maintain the organisation, condition and cleanliness of the kitchen/ storage areas
- Placing a strong focus on great service
- Drive a productive and effective team environment
