2026-Mar-31 to 2026-May-02 FRUIT FARM WORKER CHARLCO Pty Ltd DIMBULAH, QLD 4872 PERMANENT FULL-TIME ANNUAL SALARY: $76K - $86K Overview: Charlco Pty Ltd is seeking reliable and hardworking Fruit Farm Workers to support daily farming operations. This role involves performing a range of routine tasks associated with the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of fruit crops. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high-quality produce and efficient farm operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patrol, inspect, and report on the condition of crops to ensure optimal growth and early identification of issues
* Plant trees, seeds, seedlings, roots, bulbs, tubers, and vines using hand tools and farm machinery
* Prepare and cultivate soil, and carry out crop maintenance activities such as thinning, weeding, hoeing, pruning, and training of plants
* Apply pesticides and other treatments to control weeds, pests, and diseases in accordance with safety guidelines
* Operate and monitor irrigation systems to ensure adequate water supply for crops
* Install and maintain plant supports such as trellises, and protective structures including netting, greenhouses, and fencing
* Harvest produce including fruit, nuts, and vegetables according to quality standards, removing damaged or overripe items
* Sort, grade, bunch, pack, and prepare produce for storage or transport
* Load harvested produce into transport vehicles safely and efficiently
* Maintain cleanliness and functionality of farm infrastructure, including sheds, fences, and irrigation systems
* Operate and maintain general farm machinery used for cultivation, fertilising, spraying, and harvesting
* Use data collection tools and farm technology systems to support farm operations
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in fruit farming or horticulture (preferred but not essential)
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
* Basic understanding of crop care, irrigation, and pest control practices
* Ability to operate farm machinery and tools safely
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
* Good teamwork and communication skills
Work Environment: This role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires physical labour, including lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks. ANNUAL SALARY: $76K - $86K
