About the role Step into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant, where you'll bring your excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service to our donors.You'll play a key role in supporting donors throughout their donation journey.
No prior experience in blood collection is needed - full training is provided.
All you need is the curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological products.A day in the centre could see you:Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibilityPerform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin testsSet up machines and collection equipmentSafely insert and remove needles to collect blood, plasma, or plateletsMonitor donors post-donation and assist with rebookingWarmly welcome donors and assist with paperworkPrepare and serve food and beverages at the refreshment barWork collaboratively to achieve daily collection targets What you'll need: A passion for delivering an exceptional donor experienceComfort working with needles, blood, and biological productsThe ability to frequently stand, walk, and bend during your shiftPhysical capability to lift items between 9-22.7kgFlexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and afternoon shifts (Thursdays & Fridays are a requirement)A positive attitude and strong team spiritWillingness to complete our paid, flexible, self-paced training program (approx. 10 weeks full-time) Benefits and Wellbeing We place our employee's well-being at the forefront and express gratitude and care for one another.
