As a Senior Manager, you’ll provide hands‑on governance and oversight of mortgage origination controls across all channels, including bankers, brokers, referrers, and lenders. Sitting within the Chief Operating Office, Bank of Conduct Hub, this role focuses on establishing, monitoring, and testing controls, leading onboarding and ongoing due diligence, and managing issues end‑to‑end from identification through remediation, consequence management, and ongoing monitoring. You’ll also prepare governance packs and coordinate forums to support clear, risk‑based decision‑making. This is a delivery‑focused role with no direct reports, where impact is driven through strong judgement, disciplined execution, and effective stakeholder engagement This is a permanent fulltime Sydney or Melbourne based role with flexible working arrangements (2 days in office). What do I need? Strong experience in risk management, governance, or controls, preferably within banking or financial services Demonstrated capability establishing, managing, and testing controls, with a focus on governance effectiveness Experience managing issues end ‑ to ‑ end, including investigation, remediation, consequence management, and ongoing monitoring Strong understanding of mortgage origination risk across brokers, referrers, and direct channels Experience preparing governance packs, supporting forums, and providing clear risk insights to senior stakeholders Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence across business and risk teams Why join us?
