Enter a successful business unit with future opportunities to transition into various positions within the wider Johns Lyng Group company. In the past, Internal Trades have moved into Project Manager, Supervisor, Estimator and Manager roles and have done so within 2-3 years of starting with Group.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Utilise your construction knowledge & personable approach to carry out repairs
- Provide peace of mind to clients in stressful situations
- Complete carpentry & other minor repair works to homes & businesses
- Work alongside our team of supervisors
- Ensure standard of workmanship is above & beyond industry expectations
- Build relationships with subcontractors & clients
- Liaise with internal staff & insurance companies
- Communicate details of repairs & any issues to head office
- Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OHS requirements

Do you have proven examples of demonstrating drive and energy? Are you extremely motivated and can think outside the box? Do you want the opportunity to potentially work your way into a partnership? Being able to demonstrate and highlight examples of these are the key criteria for you to be successful in joining our existing talented and passionate team.
The following selection criteria is also important, but we are happy to teach and mentor you along the way.
- Carpentry qualification & experience
- Repair / maintenance background highly regarded, however not essential
- Excellent people & communication skills
- Ability to think on your feet & solve problems
- Positive, honest & pro-active attitude
- Ability to establish respectful relationships & be empathetic to the needs of the client
- Strong computer skills
- Current & valid motor vehicle licence
- Working with Children Check (can be obtained if successful)
- Requirement to supply own basic hand tools, power tools & batteries
