We aim to prove that the best way to achieve lasting environmental outcomes is to enable markets to direct long term finance towards sustainable land management practices and ecosystem services.We work in partnership with farmers, graziers, traditional owners and other land managers to develop high quality, high integrity nature-based projects that deliver economic, environmental and social benefits.The roleGreenCollar is seeking an exceptional Senior Monitoring Reporting and Verification (MRV) Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role you will be taking the lead on investigating, understanding, and communicating the performance of our environmental regeneration projects.As a Senior MRV Analyst you will also work closely with:your peers in the Portfolio team to investigate project performance and opportunities;your peers across GreenCollar on the continuous improvement of measurement, monitoring, reporting, verification, geospatial, and remote sensing practices;project stakeholders – including landholders, pastoralists, regulators, and auditors - to understand, report on and communicate project performance.The location for the role will be preferably in Sydney, Australia.Your day to day responsibilities at GreenCollar will include:Lead the analysis of project data from multiple sources using appropriate statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate project performanceProactively monitor ongoing project events, activities, and performanceCreate and validate project forecastsPrepare and manage project and portfolio reporting schedules, sequences and requirementsLead the preparation of comprehensive project reports, visualisations, presentations, and responses to communicate performance and guidance to project stakeholdersIdentify and communicate opportunities or imperatives to improve project performance and outcomesEnsure a timely and efficient response and resolution of triggered monitoring eventsRecommend, or provide clear guidance on, project and portfolio priorities and activitiesUnderstand environmental markets methods and methodologies, with a particular focus on carbon methods (including Avoided Deforestation, Avoided Clearing, Human Induced Regeneration, Native Forest from Managed Regrowth, and others)Understand each project’s adherence to it’s project method (activities; outcomes)Understand how data tools process available informationLead the investigation and pursuit of opportunities to improve the quality, scalability, efficiency and standardisation of project analysis and reportingWork with Portfolio and Community of Practice peers to improve the integration of core monitoring and analysis activities into project lifecycle managementLead site visits for measurement, monitoring, audit, or stakeholder relationship purposesSkills and experienceComfortable working collaboratively in rapidly changing environments with a high degree of ambiguityDemonstrated strong analytical and reasoning skillsAbility to break down complex problems using first principle thinking, devise effective solutions and oversee for their implementationAbility to drive insights, influence decision making and implement agreed solutions in line with a project or portfolio’s objectiveTrack record of applying statistical concepts, modelling, forecasting, hypothesis development and testingAbility to manage, manipulate and query data using tools such as SQLAbility to understand and interrogate geospatial informationExcellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate findings, recommendations, and data-driven narratives to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholdersStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple data analysis projects, set realistic timelines, and deliver high-quality work within specified deadlinesMeticulous attention to detail when working with data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in analysis and reportingExperience in, or familiarity with, environmental markets - including experience with modelling tools such as FullCAM, RMT, SavBAT - a plusA passion for the natural environment and sustainability a plusA dynamic, growing and innovative leader in the Ecosystem Services market spaceSupportive and dedicated team environment5 weeks’ annual leaveWellbeing leaveVolunteer leaveGender-neutral parental leaveRegular social club activities and events (in person/online)Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and InclusionWe are an equal opportunity employer.
