We are partnering with a well-established commercial law firm that is expanding its Workers Compensation team in Newcastle. The team manages a wide range of workplace injury matters, including orthopaedic, neurological, and psychological injury claims, as well as complex multi-injury and hazardous exposure cases. What you'll be doing:
Managing a caseload of workers compensation and personal injury defence matters
Advising clients on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy
Preparing legal documents, briefs, and court materials
Conducting legal research and assisting with hearings
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Participating in knowledge-sharing and business-development activities
What we're looking for:
At least 3 years' PAE, preferably with experience in workers compensation or insurance litigation
Background in defendant matters within a well-regarded firm
Excellent litigation, drafting, and research abilities
Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
Clear and confident communicator who works well within a team setting
Genuine enthusiasm for developing a career in workplace injury law
