About the Role Are you passionate about plants, sustainability, and working outdoors? We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to kickstart their career in horticulture through a structured traineeship program. As a Horticulturist Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience while studying towards a nationally recognized qualification in horticulture from our Frankston South location! We offer on-the-job training and mentoring in a friendly and supportive team environment. PPE clothing and tools provided. First Nations identified applicants are highly encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Assist with planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general garden maintenance Operate and maintain horticultural tools and machinery Learn to identify plant species, pests, and diseases Support the implementation of irrigation systems and soil improvement techniques Follow workplace health and safety procedures Work under the guidance of experienced horticulturists and supervisors Attend and complete all required training and assessments About You Genuine interest in plants, gardening, and the environment Willingness to learn and work outdoors in various weather conditions Good communication and teamwork skills Physically fit and capable of manual labor Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic No prior experience required – just a great attitude!
