About the role
A great opportunity has arisen for a passionate Quality Assurance Technician, reporting to the Quality Manager within our Milkco. site in Laverton North.
Coles brand milk is the number two product line in our Supermarkets produced at our highly automated MilkCo. plant, using milk supply from our Coles direct dairy farmers. As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products continually meet our high standards ready for distribution to our national supermarket network.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for all routine testing of finished products, raw materials, hygiene monitoring and WIP during production shifts.
* Conducting all laboratory testing during shift on Raw Materials, WIP, Finished product and plant equipment, whether it be microbiological, chemical, or mechanical.
* Conduct hygiene monitoring of factory environment and product, including pathogens as per internal and customer requirements.
* Ensure results generated by the laboratory are accurate and timely and that sampling/testing protocols are adhered to
* Analysing Data and support quality performance reporting, traceability and customer complaints
* Reviewing HACCP and pre-requisite activities and reports (Cleaning, Pest Control, Micro testing, etc)
* Working closely with Quality Coordinator.

About you and your skills

Experience in a similar role ideally within a similar food manufacturing environment.
* Relevant Tertiary qualification in Science/Food Technology AND/OR relevant experience/equivalent qualifications.
* A sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Change Management, HACCP and FSP, CFMSR.
* You'll excel in collaborating with all the team members
* To work at pace, lead change and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety/quality standards
* High attention to details, advanced computer skills and ileader knowledge
* Creativity and ability to present available data in a meaningful way for trending
* Ability to work independently with excellent time management and organisational skills
