About the role
Meadows Hotel is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position based in our hotel located in Meadows, SA 5201.
What you'll be doing
* Plan and develop innovative menus that showcase fresh, seasonal produce
* Manage and mentor a team of skilled chefs and kitchen staff
* Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
* Oversee the kitchen's budget and inventory management
* Collaborate with the front-of-house team to deliver seamless guest experiences
* Participate in special events and culinary initiatives to promote the hotel's dining offerings
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role
* Formal culinary training or a recognised chef's qualification
* Exceptional knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and menu development
* Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a kitchen team
* Familiarity with food and beverage costing, inventory management, and budgeting
* Passion for using high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients
* Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene
