Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Perth, is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join their operations team.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives on organisation, clear communication, and keeping production and transport running seamlessly.
About The Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will take ownership of coordinating all transport within a 48-hour rolling window. You'll be the key link between production, transport providers, and customers - ensuring schedules are optimised, commitments are met, and freight costs are tightly controlled.
This is not a purely administrative role - it requires accountability, commercial awareness, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all inbound and outbound transport within a 48-hour rolling schedule
Communicate proactively with customers regarding bookings, confirmations and delays
Align daily with production to ensure efficient load planning and workflow
Manage carrier performance, service levels and freight costs
Review and reconcile freight invoices, resolving discrepancies
Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years' experience in logistics or transport coordination
Experience communicating directly with customers and freight providers
Strong planning and organisational skills in a dynamic environment
High attention to detail with invoice reconciliation and cost control
Confident using transport systems, MS Excel and Outlook
Manufacturing logistics experience highly regarded
