TEAM LEADER – Gympie / Mary Valley Region
Starting at SCHADS Level 3 (will negotiate depending on qualifications and experience)
Full time position comprised of 4 days (or equivalent hours) providing direct support to our clients and 1 day (or equivalent hours) of administration

Purpose of the role
Assist the Care Manager with the daily operations of support services, including the provision of formal supervision and coordination of a team of Disability Support Workers.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including clients, families, and guardians.
Provide leadership through active demonstration of high-quality care and solution focused problem solving
Follow all legislative requirements ensuring the health and wellbeing of the participant and team are at the forefront of all we do
Work with the Wellness Australia Group team and clients to provide the best possible experience for guests, families, staff and stakeholders
Key Role Responsibilities:
Support people living with disabilities and complex mental health
Assist the Care Manager in coordinating the daily operations of Team/s to ensure the team work cohesively for the participant/s and have clear objectives and working in a person-centered model
Leading a team of Disability Support professionals to create a positive team culture.
Be part of creating a vibrant inclusive community
Work within the Wellness Australia Group values and maintain the highest possible regard for people we work walk alongside
Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including clients, families, and team.
Coordinate rosters alongside the Care Manager to support client/s requirements according to individual support needs, service funding and relevant legislation.
Ensures the team complies with Disability Services Act Standards, other relevant legislation and WAG polices.
Provide coaching, and identify development opportunities
Administration duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain client files, compile reports, household budgets and implement approved WAG documentation.
Complete induction/training of new team members when required
Proficient in MSOffice and use of technology such as MS Teams, scanning, printers, etc.
Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent grammar
Demonstrated experience in reporting and implementing processes essential
Understanding of NDIA values and purpose

Australian Citizenship or correct Visa to work in Australia
Current Australian Drivers licence
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or be willing to get, Wellness will pay for this)
Comply with the Disability Services Act 2006, screening requirements (Blue card and NDIS Workers Screening Card)
Comply with the Queensland Government Vaccination requirements
