Pharmacy Technician Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines and other pharmaceutical products. Your responsibilities will include providing health advice to patients, supporting pharmacy operations, and maintaining a high-quality service through auditing and evaluating processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Medicine Management: Manage, order, receive, maintain, and supply medicines and other pharmaceutical products safely, legally, and effectively.
* Patient Health Advice: Provide person-centred health advice to all patients and refer them to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
* Operational Support: Support the management of day-to-day pharmacy operations, including clinical governance, business operations, and processes.
* Team Supervision: Supervise other pharmacy staff and provide training to pharmacy and wider healthcare teams.
* Quality Service: Maintain a quality service through auditing and evaluating processes and responding to feedback.
Training and Qualifications:
You will also gain a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3, equivalent to A level, which will enable you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
