* Job Description:
* We are seeking an experienced and skilled Safety Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with health and safety practitioners and contractor safety assurance roles across the region to support the delivery of our divisional model for Work Health and Safety (WHS).
* Key Responsibilities:
o Work collaboratively with peer roles, project and regional leadership in contractor safety assurance as part of our WHS Delivery Model.
o Maintain awareness of and competency in good practice and contemporary emerging practices in line with performing required Contractor Safety Assurance functions.
o Build and maintain relationships with safety practitioners, project and contract management staff, and managers across our organisation and with clients to achieve positive outcomes.
o Support project and contract administration teams in application of Client-Side Safety Governance (CSSG) including review and analysis of project data and reports to support contractor safety assurance.
o Support timely and effective incident reporting and investigation by principal contractors and support project teams in reviewing, understanding and monitoring improvement actions.
o Support the identification, planning and delivery of contractor safety assurance initiatives targeting improvements in project and industry WHS capability and performance.
o Provide a high standard of professional advice and support to frontline project and contract management staff, managers, and regional management teams on:
o The interpretation, understanding and application of WHS legislations, Australian and international standards, certification and accreditation criteria.
o The implementation of WHS policies, procedures, standards, guidance and tools as they relate to the delivery of projects where we have a client.
o The identification and effective management of principal contractor safety performance issues and opportunities.
o The implementation of established contemporary good practice for client roles on construction projects.
