About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Preparing month-end working papers, journals, and financial reports.
* Conducting trust account reconciliations and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
* Assisting with inventory accounting, accruals, prepaids, and recoverable expenses.
* Reconciling sales and expense accounts and proposing journal entries as needed.
* Lodging tax returns and ABS surveys (FBT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, GST).
* Supporting internal and external audits, including SOX controls testing.
* Liaising with internal stakeholders to implement process improvements.
* Other duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Accounting degree with CA or CPA designation.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in public practice or a financial accountant role.
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, V-lookups) and proficiency in MS Office. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) is highly regarded.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle a high volume of work and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
